I’m obviously on a coffee kick. I love La Colombe coffee, particularly the yellow label cold brew. It is delicious black and with cream or however you take it. So when I saw the La Colombe strawberry mocha draft latte I knew I had to try it.
Looking at the ingredients I already had two issues with it. There are no actual strawberries or chocolate in the latte – only natural flavors, which is disappointing. I took a few sips and no. It tastes kind of fake, but I will give them an A+ on the beautiful bright pink package design and marketing.
Anyways, I saw this Reel on how to make strawberry “ice cream” and woah it is bomb. Three ingredients: frozen strawberries, a can of heavy coconut cream, and vanilla extract.
I made this strawberry ice cream last night (all you do is blend it together and freeze for a couple hours) and this morning I added about ½ TBSP of Hu dark chocolate baking chips into a mug, microwaved it to melt them, added about 1 TBSP of the strawberry ice cream, melted that and stirred it together. And then brewed a Nespresso double espresso pod on top and stirred it all together. Pretty damn delicious.
